Anand Jayprakash Vaidya’s work focusses on comparative philosophy, epistemology of modality, and analytical theories of mind.
He obtained his PhD from the University of California, Santa Barbara on the epistemology of modality (how we know what is possible and necessary, as opposed to what is merely actual).
Currently, he is professor of philosophy at San Jose State University and occasional director of the Center for Comparative Philosophy there.
He has also very recently joined the University of Antwerp as visiting research professor.
