Daniel M. Stuart is currently a Visiting Professor in the department of Indian and Tibetan Studies at the University of Hamburg. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Religious Studies at the University of South Carolina. His research focuses on the history of traditional Buddhist contemplative practices from their origins in premodern South Asia into the global present. He is the author of Insight in Perspective, S. N. Goenka: Emissary of Insight, The Stream of Deathless Nectar, A Less Traveled Path, and Thinking About Cessation.
